Privacy policy

This policy covers skytechtalent.com. Skytech Talent is an aerospace and aviation recruitment business serving hiring teams and engineers in the United States. For the personal information described below, Skytech Talent decides what is collected and why. Contact: info@skytechtalent.com.

What we collect

Only what you send us through the site, plus basic usage data.

• Role briefs (hiring teams): name, work email, company, your title, and the details of the role you describe, including budget if you give it.
• Applications (candidates): full name, email, resume, current location, work authorization status, and optionally LinkedIn profile and salary expectation.
• Direct email: anything you send to our address, kept in our mailbox.
• Usage data: page views and referrers through Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites or build personal profiles.

Work authorization status can reveal citizenship or immigration status, which some state laws treat as sensitive. We use it only to judge whether you are eligible for a role, and for nothing else.

Why we use it

• To respond to a brief and scope the search.
• To assess your application, contact you and, with your agreement, introduce you to a hiring client.
• To run and secure the site and see which pages are used.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

Who sees it

A candidate's resume goes to the hiring client for the role applied for, and only after the candidate has applied for it. We do not add you to mailing lists or introduce you to other clients without asking you first.

Service providers process information for us:

• Formspree, which receives form submissions and forwards them to us.
• Our recruitment database, where candidate and client records are held.
• Fly.io, which hosts the website.
• Plausible, for analytics.
• Google Fonts, which serves the site typefaces and so receives your IP address when a page loads.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months. Because of that there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control as honored by default.

How long we keep it

Candidate records are kept while we are actively working with you and for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted unless you ask us to keep them longer. Client briefs are kept while the relationship is active and for up to 6 years for business records. Usage data is aggregated and holds no personal profile.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
• correct information that is wrong,
• delete your information,
• limit how we use sensitive information.

We will not treat you differently for making a request. Email info@skytechtalent.com from the address you gave us. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission. If we refuse a request you can appeal by replying to our response, and you can also contact your state attorney general.

Where information is processed

The site and our providers process information in the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there.

Children

The site is for working professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
